Senaki Akaki Khorava Theatre


Senaki (Georgian: სენაკი) is a town in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti mkhare (region), western Georgia. It is located at around. During the Soviet era, the city was known as Tskhakaia.
From 1933 to 1976 it was called Mikha Tskhakaya (in Russian: Миха Цхакая) in honour of the Georgian revolutionary leader Mikhail Tskhakaya.
The second infantry division of the Georgian army is stationed near Senaki. Senaki was the center of the Georgia military mutiny of 1998. The town was also the site of a battle during the 2008 South Ossetia war.
